Welcome to Moon River Arabians.
Located in the beautiful Beavertail Valley in Clinton, Montana, approximately 26 miles east of Missoula and less than 1 mile from I-90. We've been called "The Disney for horse lovers" by many who have seen the glory of our Arabians high-tailing it across the pasture with the river in the background. Once you've seen this splendor, it will never leave your heart!

In business since 1975 in the same location, our ranch is situated on 2000 acres plus National Forest acreage in the gorgeous Sapphire Mountains. Lots of wildlife (deer, elk, moose, etc.) share with us the valleys, numerous creeks and the Clark Fork River as it meanders thru the property. Our 150+ horses are "people friendly" and greet all visitors with pleasure.

Moon River's breeding program results in Polish or Polish related, as we cross our Polish stallions with pure Polish, Crabbet or Egyptian mares. With shows being few and far between here in Montana, we successfully attend a few events, but concentrate our attention on our breeding program and horse family.

We're glad to have your visit and hope you enjoy the time with us! If you're in our area, please give us a call to stop by and say hello! See for yourself the WONDER OF ARABIANS!

Extensive sales list includes horses for Show/Race/Pleasure, etc.

About the Author

Connie Schein lives in San Jose, California with her husband, physicist Lawrence Schein. The project started not as a children's book, but as a study of the behavior of horses in a herd. Day after day, season after season, she sat in the pasture and observed the interaction of the horses. Friendships and rivalries, conflict and resolution, and the dynamics of problem solving evolved as a continuing drama. From this drama, the Adventures of Chance and Montana was born. Chance, Montana and Josie are horses purchased from Moon River Arabians in Montana and loosely used as the main characters of the story. Connie dedicated the book to her husband and "any child who ever wished for a horse or needed a friend."

This book can be purchased at Barnes & Noble Children's Books, $9.95 Paperback
